This month’s photography challenge is “Shallow Depth of Field” — one of my favorite techniques and styles of shooting. I love how a shallow depth of field can separate your subject from the background or otherwise bring focus to an important detail. I tackled this challenge by focusing on eyes and mud with a wide open aperture, getting up close (real close) to flowers with my macro lens, and even found a relevant word in a crossword puzzle.
Make sure to continue on through the blog circle, starting with the talented Catherine McAteer. Youโre sure to be inspired by her playful images!
Fabulous pictures!
Awesome. Love the fact that you found the word aperture in crossword puzzle.
These are phenomenal examples of shallow depth of field. I can’t even pick a favorite.
My favorite is the one of your dog. I love the patterned carpet underneath. Great job this month! Love, love, love shallow DOF! ๐
